STEPS TO TURN OFF GRAPHIC IMAGE COMPRESSION ON AOL

This will improve image quality but will increase download time.  Change this
setting to get the highest possible image quality when viewing portfolio samples.
Illustrations below are from AOL 4.0 for Mac. Older AOL software or PC
version will not look identical but will function in a similar manner ........
STEP 1
If you are already on AOL go to toolbar and
click on the My AOL button .
.
.
STEP 2
Scroll down menu will appear. Select Preferences.
.
.
STEP 3
Choose the WWW Icon and click to bring
up the preferences for the World Wide Web.
Note - On a PC you must then choose Web Graphic tab
from tabs at top of window (not shown in this illustration)
.
.
STEP 4
Click on the box that says Use compressed images to remove
the "x".  Using compressed images will cause distortion and fuzziness
on some graphic files, so this box must have no  "x" in it.
.
.
STEP 5
Click on OK button at bottom of window to save this setting.  You
can then continue to the Web to view portfolio samples.  Graphics should
show dramatic improvement.  You may have to reload or refresh the page
from the AOL browser toolbar to reload the graphic without compression.
